The official line is to hide underground when things get crazy. There is no hide button, no map bunker, and no teleport. The room is one you dig under your own bunker.
Dig the room
You need a standing bunker with a door first.
- Open the bunker door.
- Press 2 on PC and dig down from inside.
- Keep going until you can stand and walk, not just crawl.
- The success check is a room directly under the bunker.
Players then put coin farms, a bed, and a table in that room. Income items such as farms only place underground.
Seal it
- Put doors in the gaps you leave. One finished setup used two bunker doors.
- Close the entrance behind you. A failed line has forced a base door open mid-raid.
- Pair doors with high-HP blocks. One late run used Verity blocks reported at 50,000 HP plus two doors. That cost is late-game money, and the same style of seal has still been entered through a gap the player found only after Verities were already inside.
When to drop down
Retreat when the line is buckling or your health is dropping. One player slipped through at the last moment of a hard wave and still beat the boss. Turrets keep shooting upstairs. When the pressure drops, go back up. Hiding does not clear the wave.
What it does not stop
- Diggers. In one session, around wave 17, a wave tunneled into the underground room. That is one session, not a rule that you are safe until wave 17.
- Gaps in the floor, walls, or ceiling. One player spotted an open space above the getaway and expected Verities to come through it.
- A pre-built secret location. A disguised door is a player design, covered in the hidden-looking build.
Test the room on a wave you can afford to lose. Go below, close the door, and watch for diggers or squeezes. Patch the gap on a cheap wave.
